About Us
Welcome to KCF Disability Engineering, where we’ve been modifying vehicles since 1984. Our aim is to introduce as many people to these incredible 4×4 wheelchairs as possible so they can re-introduce some freedom back into their lives.
The Action Trackchair was introduced to us when a client needed access to hilly terrains in all weather conditions. The Action Trackchair, far superior to available options in Australia, was the perfect choice with its operational efficiency, stability, and simplicity. From here, KFC Disability Engineering became the Australian importer for this impressive product.
We took three different Action Trackchair models through Australian Standards Testing procedures. This coincided with the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Introducing the chair to the NDIS resulted in fully funded Action Trackchairs for clients—a fantastic outcome!
The Action Trackchair is unparalleled as an all-terrain wheelchair, tackling water, sand, mud, uphill, downhill, in the rain, and even in the snow.
Since 2014, KCF Disability Engineering has proudly been part of the Action Trackchair team. We’re excited to use our extensive experience to highlight the numerous benefits that this exceptional chair offers.
The Evolution Of Action Trackchair
Humble beginnings - The Evolution Of Action Trackchair
It all started in 2008 in Minnesota, when a father wanted to help his son gain his independence back through offroad mobility. It started with a broken boat seat, some electrical work, and two tracks, and is now one of the best off road wheelchairs in the world.
Since 2008 the evolution of the Action Trackchair has seen incredible improvement and growth. Through design, testing and optimisation, every part of the chairs have been crafted to perfection. And now, thanks to a father’s dream and innovation, a whole world of freedom and adventure has opened up to those with mobility issues.
Through a global fleet of authorised dealers and regular events, it’s easy to become a part of this growing community.
This all-terrain wheelchair has the ability to withstand the most demanding conditions in Australia, and all around the world. Each chair goes through a rigorous controlled ability test as well as real-world testing involving mud, sand, snow, and water, to make sure it’s safe and ready to go.
